It’s most likely that you’ve heard of, or watched The Secret. If you haven’t, I will summarise it for you briefly. The Secret is a self-help book and movie about the Law of Attraction and how it affects our lives.
The core message behind The Secret is that our thoughts determine what we attract into our lives.
The book also teaches that we can attract anything into our lives if we focus our thought on it. It doesn’t matter if the thing or situation is good or bad.
After reading or watching The Secret, most people tried to manifest all sorts of things and failed.
After experiencing failure with the Law of Attraction, these people concluded that the Law of Attraction doesn’t work. What these people forgot was that the Universe works on laws that cannot be broken or adjusted for anyone.
The failure to manifest anything is not because the laws of the Universe have stopped working, rather, it’s the application of the laws that will always be at fault whenever failure is encountered.
In this article, I will reveal how persistence is the secret behind The Secret. I will also reveal how it’s the only thing that separates winners from losers.
Before I disclose how persistence is the secret behind The Secret, I will go over the basics of using the Law of Attraction first.

The Basics Of The Law Of Attraction
Whatever the mind is set upon, or whatever it keeps most in view, that it is bringing to it, and the continual thought or imagining must at last take form and shape in the world of seen and tangible things.

The basics of the Law of Attraction is that every human being is a magnet. And that the thought which the individual dwells upon determines what he or she attracts and repels.
As the quote by Prentice Mulford clearly explains, whatever thought (good or bad) an individual dwells upon continuously, must at last take form and shape in our 3D world.
This simple explanation is the Law of Attraction in a nutshell. Further examination of this law shows that every human is using the Law of Attraction consciously or unconsciously, by the thoughts which they choose to entertain.
A human being is a mass of energy. Unlike other forms of energy, a human being is much more complex, in that it has various forms of energy co-existing side by side within it being.
This means a person contains within his or her being, physical, spiritual, mental and etheric energies. The direction all these energies will flow is dictated by the thought the individual entertains.
The thought a person entertains for a length of time will take root in the garden of his or her mind, and from this point, it influences outside circumstances which will help it reveal itself in our 3D reality.
For the sake of simplicity, here is the Law of Attraction process in a step by step format:
- You entertain a thought or an idea (Good or Bad – It doesn’t matter).
- You continuously dwell on this thought – Daily or multiple times every day for 90 consecutive days.
- This thought takes root in the garden of your mind after 90 days and starts to clothe itself.
- By working with the Laws of the Universe, this thought of yours affect outside circumstances
- This thought of yours now uses outside circumstances to reveal itself in this 3D reality.
This is the Law of Attraction process in a nutshell.
Seeing how simple and straightforward the Law of Attraction process is, the question then is, why isn’t everyone manifesting their heart desires?
The answer to this simple question is what this article is really about. I will address it next.
Persistence Is The Secret In The Secret
In the previous section, I explained in the simplest form possible, how the Law of Attraction works, but am also aware that some people have tried and failed using exactly the steps I described in this previous section, which is why I decided to write this article in the first place.
At the basic level, what’s hindering most people from manifesting their heart desires is their paradigms.
Paradigms affect everything about a person. It’s the secret operating system operating beneath the surface of every human being you come across.
Your success cannot exceed what your paradigms allows, because it’s your paradigm that determines everything you experience in life.
So, it doesn’t matter how effective the Law of Attraction process is, until your paradigm is reprogrammed, every attempt to achieve any success that’s outside the parameters of your paradigm will result in frustration and failure.
How To Reprogram Your Paradigm And Get What You Want
To fix a problem you must understand the problem and the same goes when it comes to rewriting your paradigm.
Your paradigm was formed by the information feed to your sensory organs from the time you were born until around the age of seven. This means, what you smell, touch, taste, hear and watched.
To rewrite your paradigm your primary focus should be on what you hear and watch. Here is a quick fix for both:
Watch: Motivational, Self-Help, Inspirational, Uplifting and educational videos.
Don’t Watch: The News, Violent and Horror movies, videos of accident, violence, rape and murder, and every video that comes with viewer discretion warning.
Listen To: (1) Motivational, Self-Help, Inspirational, Uplifting and educational audios.
(2) Make an audio recording of the person you desire to become and listen to it every day.
Example: You can make a recording where you say the following: I am grateful for the fact that I am now a loving, kind, generous, forgiving, successful, healthy, disciplined, determined and considerate person.

Don’t Listen To: The News, gossips, music that promotes violence, aggression, hate, chaos, disharmony and disunity, a podcast that deliberately sow seeds of hate and division, radio stations that constantly report negative events.

Winning the fight against your paradigm requires one vital thing and that thing is called persistence.
Persistence – The Secret To Success
Reading from Genesis 32:22-31 and Luke 11:5-8 NKJV
From the above scripture texts, we are made aware of the power of persistence is rewriting the story of one’s life experience.
In Genesis 32:22-31, Jacob wrestled with an angel until he was blessed, and his name was changed from Jacob to Isreal. In Luke 11:5-8, Jesus made it clear that the difference between success and failure is persistence.
You can not change your paradigm without persistence and without changing your paradigm, you will remain exactly where you are now.
So, what’s persistence then? Persistence is defined as “to continue steadfastly or firmly in some state, purpose, course of action, or the like, especially despite opposition, remonstrance, etc.“
When you want something that you have never had, your paradigm will not just oppose that desire but it will vehemently reject it because it’s outside your paradigm.
The only way to overcome your paradigm and manifest what you desire is to “to continue steadfastly ” in implementing everything discussed in this article.
You must “continue steadfastly ” to listen to the audios, watch the uplifting, motivational and positive videos, write your daily affirmations and most importantly, continue to believe and expect the manifestation of your heart desires.
Most people can start the process of reprogramming their paradigm but 99% of them also give-up within three months of commencing this exercise. You must continue to do all the exercises even when it seems like nothing is happening.
Persistence is the secret to success because it’s the only thing that will keep you going until you’ve successfully reprogrammed your paradigm and achieve the success you desire.

What you want is already in existence, the only requirement on your part is to take mental possession of it.
Most people fail to manifest their heart desires because of their lack of persistence. The strange thing about persistence is that it encompasses attitude, faith, belief, discipline and determination.
When you persist in your desire to attain the object your desire, you’re displaying faith, discipline, determination and the right attitude. When you channel all these qualities into manifesting your desire, you are guaranteed to manifest it.
You will get whatever you want if you persevere. I have noticed that when I make a firm decision to persevere until I attain the object of my desire, the thing usually show up within a short period. Try it.
