Every word you utter out of thy own mouth will either make your life better or harder. No word spoken by you shall return back to you void.
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: It will not return to me empty but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
– Isaiah 55:11
The Infinite Mind made it clear that every word spoken by Him cannot return to Him empty but MUST accomplish that for which it was sent forth.
You could be reading this and be saying to yourself that Isaiah 55:11 doesn’t really apply to you because you are not God. But you will be wrong to assume this.
In the Book of Genesis 1:27, it was made clear that man was created in the image of God, after His likeness. Also in Psalm 82:6, the Infinite Mind said: “I have said, Ye are gods, and all of you are children of the most High.“
These scriptural verses made it abundantly clear that you and I possess the DNA of the Infinite Mind. We possess His power, strength and all of His other traits. So in the same manner that the words of the Infinite Mind CANNOT return back to Him empty-handed, in the same manner, your own words cannot return back to you unfulfilled, whether good or bad.
Watch Your Words
When you are talking either with yourself or someone else, you must be watchful of what you say. This is because you are listening. Your subconscious mind is always listening to whatever you are saying. The crazy thing is that your subconscious mind doesn’t know when you are joking.
So if you are saying negative things about yourself, you likely to keep manifesting those negative things. Your subconscious mind doesn’t know what’s a joke or what’s real, imagined or fake. It takes your words literally all the time.
When it comes to your spoken words, you cannot be too careful. This is why Christ said, “by thy words, thou shalt be justified, and by thy words, thou shalt be condemned”. If you take a careful look at your life, the majority of the things in your life right now, you once joked about them. Some of them you talked about them with yourself or with a friend.
When you fully understand the power of the spoken word, then you suddenly realise that you possess a great power. The power to shape your life to whatever you want it to be. Because with the power of the spoken word, you can literally talk yourself into the life you want. I have done this, so can you. But how can anyone talk him/herself into the life he or she wants? One word; affirmations.
Let’s look at how we can use affirmations to talk ourselves into the life we want instead of talking ourselves into a life of difficulties and pains.
The Power Of Affirmations
What is an affirmation? Affirmation is the assertion that something exists or is true. Do you truly get this definition? It is the assertation that something ALREADY exists. It is not hoping that something will happen in the future. It is an assertation that thing which you want is already in existence. That you are already in possession of it.
Let me give you the biblical quotation for affirmation. It is in Romans 4:17: “Calleth those things which be not as though they were“. This is God – The Infinite Mind, calling things into existence. The Bible verse of Romans 4:17 said He (The Infinite Mind) spoke of the things He wanted to create as if they were already in existence. After the Infinite Mind spoke of things as though they were already in existence, those things came into existence.
This is what is meant by “making an assertion that something exists or it true“. This is an affirmation. This is how you are “justified by your words”. This is how you talk yourself into the life you want.
How To Make Your Own Affirmations
If you’ve read to this point, it’s obvious that you would like to know how to talk yourself into the life you want. So let me help you out with this.
This is the step by step process to make your own affirmations:
(1) Ask yourself this question “what are the 5 things I desperately want right now?”
(2) Write down the 5 things you desperately desire right now.
(3) Make your desires absolutely specific. For example, writing I want a house is not specific. But writing down “I want a 4 bedroom house with a large rear garden and a front parking space in the town of Surrey” – is a specific desire. It means you know exactly what is it that you want. Be as specific as possible but never desire to take what’s already in another person possession.
(4) Now, write your affirmations in this format: I AM an owner of “my specific desire”.
Let’s use the 4 bedroom house as an example. So, to write an affirmation for the 4 bedroom house, it will be like this – “I AM an owner of a 4 bedroom house with large rear garden and front parking space in the town of Surrey”.
So, it could be “I AM an owner”, “I AM the director of ____”, “I AM married to the most caring, loving_______”
This is the make or break section of your affirmations. After you have successfully make your desires specific, you MUST link the phrases “I AM” to your specific desire.
(5) Repeat step 4 for all your desires.
(6) Recite your affirmations first thing in the morning and last thing before bed. Do this every day for the rest of your life. It will cost you nothing. You have nothing to lose but a whole lot to gain.
There is power in the spoken word. Careless utterances will put you in great pain. Why waste such a great power on things that are not beneficial to you. Guide your words always.
Most people think that once they don’t speak bad words about themselves, that they are OK. When it comes to the spoken word, the words you speak about yourself and someone else are equally effective. What you say about others will certainly be said about you. So, in a nutshell, if what you are about to say isn’t positive, don’t say it. It doesn’t matter if you are speaking of yourself or someone else.
